On Molly
Molly laughs first and asks questions afterwards, which, as openings go, is hard to improve on. 164 cm and curvy. Dark brown hair, long, falling in loose waves. Brown eyes that are almost always amused about something. She dresses with a little glamour and a little mischief, a red dress under a black leather jacket, bright lipstick, and it works because she so plainly enjoys it. Nobody in the room is having a better time, and within ten minutes neither are you.
Warm, playful and confident. Mid twenties. English delivered at a Londoner's speed. House music is her soundtrack; she knows the record shops of Soho by heart and still buys vinyl, carried home in a canvas bag that has seen better decades. Cocktails are her craft interest, and she can talk shrubs, bitters and dilution without ever becoming dull. Then there are the cars. She loves old roadsters, the curvier the better, and will stop dead on a pavement for a classic in good condition.
Near Piccadilly she likes the bar at Hotel Café Royal, where Regent Street sweeps round towards the Circus, for a first drink in grand surroundings before the evening loosens its collar. Soho is a few minutes away if you want music, St James's is quieter if you do not, and she is very good at reading which way a night wants to go.
Molly lives in Soho and crosses into Piccadilly for most of her evenings. An hour with her is £600; the longer nights are listed on rates. Booking goes straight to Octavia.
// Octavia's noteMolly prefers a later start and a longer night. Three hours at £1,500 gives her room to begin somewhere grand and finish somewhere with better music.

As Molly keeps it
She is easy to find: follow the warmest laugh in the bar to whoever has just caused it. Molly opens with a proper drink, ideally one she has never tried, and befriends the bartender while it is being made. Conversation arrives at speed. She will ask about the first record you ever bought and then explain, with enormous affection, why it was secretly a house record all along. If a classic car is parked on the way to dinner, you will stop and admire it together. Supper is relaxed and lively. Later, should the night call for it, she knows a low room in Soho with a serious sound system; if not, a quieter bar and a long, funny conversation suit her just as well. Either way, the night ends with a recommendation scribbled on a napkin.
Three questions for Molly
A basement with a low ceiling and a sound system bigger than the bar. No windows, no clocks, just a very good selector and people who came to listen.
Driven, in something old with leather seats and the windows down. Driving is lovely, but you miss all the scenery.
Bartenders who remember what you had last time and suggest something slightly different. That is hospitality, not just mixing.
