On Stacy
Stacy is 176 cm before the heels go on, and the heels always go on. Slim. Near-black brown hair, very long. Brown eyes with a steady, amused focus. Her style is nightlife with an edge, metallic fabric, a sharp black jacket, silver at the ears, and she enters a room as if she has just this second decided to, which is generally true. People assume she is a model; she lets them, then asks what they think of the lighting.
Bold and spontaneous, early twenties, with a deadpan humour that takes a moment to land and then lands hard. English, fast and dry. Street photography is her daily habit; she shoots strangers' shadows and shop reflections and posts none of it anywhere. Winter means snowboarding, the steeper the better. Stand-up comedy is her real addiction, and she goes to open-mic nights purely to spot who will be famous in five years. Her hit rate is annoyingly good.
Her evening near Piccadilly starts at The Comedy Store on Oxendon Street, a few steps from the Circus, in seats close enough to the stage to be picked on, which she treats as a compliment. Then comes a late supper and a replay of the best lines, delivered rather better by her than by anybody on the bill. She never sits in the back row of anything.
Stacy lives in Chelsea and takes most of her introductions around Piccadilly. She starts at £600 an hour; rates covers the rest. Octavia keeps her diary, reachable through booking, and knows which nights have the best line-ups.
// Octavia's noteStacy is a late-night companion by nature. A show and supper need three hours, £1,500; I will check the Oxendon Street listings for you.

As Stacy keeps it
She meets you under the lights of the Circus with a camera hanging from one wrist and a grin that suggests she has already photographed you. Stacy is quick, dry and entirely unpredictable. At the club she laughs loudly and without embarrassment, heckles only in her head and reports the best lines to you afterwards, improved. Supper is late and full of stories: a snowboard run that went badly wrong above a French resort, a shadow on a bus shelter she thinks is the best frame she has ever taken. She is bold company, spontaneous and funny, and will suggest one more place long after you had planned to stop. It is the sort of night you describe to friends the next morning, and they do not quite believe it.
Three questions for Stacy
Twice. The first time I froze. The second time I answered back and got a bigger laugh than the comedian. He bought me a drink afterwards, to be fair to him.
A moment nobody else noticed. It usually lasts a second and involves somebody's shadow doing something their body is not.
Snowboard. Skis always seemed like too many things to keep track of. One board, two feet and a great deal of falling over.
