Two postcodes carry almost all of Mayfair between them. W1K is the northern and western half, from Grosvenor Square down Park Lane to Mount Street. W1J is the southern and eastern half, from Berkeley Square through Curzon Street to Piccadilly and the park. Between them they hold the hotels, the squares, and most of the addresses this house is written to from.

The northern half. Grosvenor Square with its garden and its new apartments, Mount Street running east from the park towards Berkeley Square, and Park Lane with six large hotels facing Hyde Park. Claridge's, W1K 4HR, The Connaught, W1K 2AL, and The Dorchester, W1K 1QA, all carry this postcode.
It is the half with the biggest rooms in it, and the half that takes the longest bookings. Overnights and four hour dinners are ordinary here in a way they are not everywhere in London.
The southern half. Berkeley Square and the streets leading off it, Curzon Street and Half Moon Street behind, Green Park along the bottom edge, and Piccadilly itself. Two well known houses carry W1J: The Ritz at 9BR and The May Fair Hotel at 8LT.
This is the later half. Its evenings begin after dinner more often than before it, and its doors stay open longest.
This house keeps its own address just outside both, in W1S, which holds Albemarle Street, Dover Street and Bond Street. W1S is a three minute walk from either half, and nobody but the Post Office treats it as separate.
Green Park serves W1J from the south, 4 minutes from Berkeley Square, with Jubilee, Piccadilly and Victoria trains. Bond Street serves W1K from the north, 5 minutes from Grosvenor Square, carrying Central, Jubilee and Elizabeth line platforms. Hyde Park Corner and the Piccadilly line sit 7 minutes west of both.
A car handles either half in minutes, and the first two zones carry no separate charge. Angelika, Luna and Samanta live within these postcodes and are often on foot.
